COCOPUP x THE RANDOLPH

Come Behind the Scenes at The Randolph: Cocopup’s Black Friday Shoot in Oxford’s gorgeous Dog-Friendly Hotel!

For this year’s Black Friday campaign, we needed a location that felt elevated, spacious, and unmistakably Cocopup. Enter The Randolph Hotel in Oxford,a historic, beautifully designed space that also happens to be one of the most genuinely dog-friendly hotels we’ve ever stepped into.

We turned the place into our base for the day, model Pepper in tow, ready to shoot our iconic Black Friday campaign, and honestly? It couldn’t have worked better.

First Impressions: A Hotel That Actually Means “Dog Friendly”

There are dog-friendly hotels, and then there’s The Randolph.

No awkward rules, no “dogs are allowed” Instead, friendly staff, zero hesitation, and plenty of space for dogs to explore without feeling out of place.

The lobby alone felt like the perfect mix of grand yet relaxed, ideal for dogs who, let’s be honest, don’t care how expensive the armchair is.

The Shoot: Calm, Controlled (…Mostly), and Beautifully Lit

The thing about The Randolph is that it’s naturally photogenic.

Every room is a backdrop: high ceilings, warm textures, amazing lighting, and those little architectural details that make even candid shots look intentional.

Our dog model took it all in her stride, a few treat breaks, a couple of diva moments, the usual. But the hotel environment made everything feel calm and easy, which is not something you can always say when dogs are involved!

Why The Randolph Worked So Well

Cocopup shoots need two things: great aesthetics and a dog-positive atmosphere. The Randolph delivered both effortlessly.

  • Stylish spaces that elevate content without needing heavy staging
  • Staff who were genuinely welcoming to dogs
  • Enough room to move gear, models, and pups without feeling cramped
  • A calm, premium setting that made everything run smoother
